Leslie Muse obtained her undergraduate degree in 1992 from the University of Tennessee, and then her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1996. After eleven years of practice with a private law firm, Leslie went into solo practice in 2007. She then joined Butler, Vines and Babb as an Of Counsel attorney in July 2009. Focusing on a significant interest in her law practice, Leslie then obtained her Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in May 2010.

Leslie is a member of various professional associations, including among others, the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association for Justice. She was appointed by our Supreme Court to serve on the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education, and is serving her second term on that commission. She has been selected as a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation, and is an alumna of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law program.

Leslie’s practice has been devoted almost exclusively to litigation, with an emphasis on healthcare issues and complex litigation. She has successfully represented plaintiffs in personal injury and health care liability matters, and insurance companies in defense matters ranging from tort and trucking accident defense, to defense of employment and ADA actions.
